Impressive rookie campaign
Andrews finished his rookie season with 34 catches for 552 yards and three touchdowns on 50 targets.
Analysis: It was an impressive first year from Andrews, especially considering how crowded Baltimore's tight end group was to begin the year. The Ravens already had two established tight ends and also drafted Hayden Hurst in the first round before scooping Andrews in the third. Andrews had light target volume overall but he made the most of his looks (11.0 YPT) and established himself as a real deep threat as he finished second on the team in catches of 20 or more yards (8) and catches of 40 or more…read more

Scores on huge play
Andrews caught both of his targets for 83 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 22-10 win over the Chargers.
Analysis: Most of Andrews' production came on a stellar 68-yard catch and run for his third touchdown of the season. While the surprising big night will certainly generate some buzz in the fantasy community, it is important to note that the rookie tight end saw just two targets all game. In fact, Andrews is averaging just 2.2 targets per game since Lamar Jackson took over after Baltimore's Week 10 bye, compared to the 3.4 he was seeing with Joe Flacco. The tight end position has been rather thin this…read more

Bounces back
Andrews caught two of four targets for 31 yards against the Buccaneers.
Analysis: A week after being shut out of the box score, Andrews got back in the mix in the win. The rookie saw his highest target count since before the bye (Week 9) and converted those looks into 31 yards. He'll face a Chargers defense that is strong at limiting opposing tight ends -- 5.6 YPT and four TDs in 14 games -- in Week 16.

Catchless in Kansas City
Andrews was unable to haul in either of his two targets during Sunday's 27-24 loss to Kansas City.
Analysis: It was Andrews' first catchless outing of the season. The rookie tight end has been the Ravens' most productive option at the position despite the numerous early-round picks in the stable. He entered Sunday with five catches for 140 yards in three games with fellow rookie Lamar Jackson at quarterback. The Ravens have been run-heavy with Jackson at quarterback, but Andrews is one of the safer Baltimore targets to roll with on a weekly basis, which might not be saying much. Sunday brings a…read more

Snags three passes
Andrews caught all three of his targets for 47 yards during Sunday's 26-16 win over the Falcons.
Analysis: Andrews showed a little more rapport with rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson after being targeted just twice in Jackson's first two starts. Andrews was the second tight end Baltimore took in this past draft, but he's been the Ravens' most productive player at the position. The Oklahoma product has gained at least 20 yards on six of his 26 catches this season. Week 14 brings a Chiefs defense that is among the bottom 10 in the league in preventing chunk yardage, surrendering 11.9 yards per…read more

Big play on lone target
Andrews caught his lone target for a 74-yard gain against the Raiders.
Analysis: The rookie broke free down the right sideline and caught a beautifully placed ball from Lamar Jackson for a huge gain. Unfortunately, it was the only time Andrews was targeted in the win over the Raiders, and his 18 offensive snaps marked a career low. Baltimore's passing volume has fallen off since Lamar Jackson took over at quarterback with a combined 44 attempts over two games. The Ravens' run-first approach has also led to Nick Boyle, who is known for his value as a run blocker, seeing the…read more

Targeted once
Andrews caught his lone target for a 19-yard gain during Sunday's 24-21 win over the Bengals.
Analysis: Coming into Sunday, the rookie tight end had been targeted at least four times in three of his previous four games. That went away as Baltimore went run-heavy with fellow rookie Lamar Jackson at quarterback. Andrews is probably the member of the Ravens' deep tight-end corps most likely to produce in the passing game on any given week, but whether Lamar Jackson or Joe Flacco (hip) starts Sunday against the Raiders obviously impacts his potential opportunities and value. The situation is worth…read more

Reaches 50 yards
Andrews caught three of six targets for 50 yards in Sunday's 23-16 loss to Pittsburgh.
Analysis: Nick Boyle may be the starter and Hayden Hurst the first-round pick, but Andrews is the tight end Baltimore trusts to take the field on passing downs. The rookie third-round selection enters a Week 10 bye on pace for a 37-434-4 receiving line on 57 targets, while neither Boyle nor Hurst has made much of a dent. The Ravens may want to find more snaps for Andrews if they use the bye week as an opportunity to make major changes to their stagnant offense.

Targeted five times against Panthers
Andrews caught four of five targets for 31 yards during Sunday's 36-21 loss to Carolina.
Analysis: The targets and catches both marked career highs for Andrews. Though he has just two touchdowns at the season's midway point and has topped Sunday's modest yardage total just once, he still looks like the safest bet among Baltimore's four-tight-end rotation -- leading the group in receptions, yards and touchdowns. Next is a Sunday matchup against a Steelers pass defense ranked in the bottom 10 of the league, surrendering 265 yards per game.

Reels in second touchdown of 2018
Andrews had one reception for an eight-yard touchdown against the Saints on Sunday.
Analysis: Baltimore only targeted tight ends five times on Sunday but Andrews was able to make his only opportunity count as he found the end zone for the second time this season. Andrews was averaging 3.3 targets per game coming into the Saints game, so it's not unreasonable to expect a slight uptick in volume in Week 8 against the Panthers.

Targeted four times in win
Andrews caught two of four targets for 20 yards during Sunday's 21-0 win over the Titans.
Analysis: In a deep Baltimore tight-end room, the rookie third-round pick is arguably the most intriguing target, leading the crowd with 155 receiving yards and the only receiving touchdown of the bunch through six weeks. He made some big plays a few weeks ago against Denver and takes on a Saints defense Sunday ranked 30th in the league in opponent yardage per reception at 12.7.

Showing big-play ability
Andrews caught two of three targets for a career-high 59 yards in Sunday's win over the Broncos.
Analysis: The rookie continues to show impressive pass-catching ability, particularly down the seam. His catches went for 29 and 30 yards, respectively; his second catch went for 29 yards after Joe Flacco tried him deep down the field on the previous play, showing the veteran's trust in Andrews to make big plays. Fellow rookie Hayden Hurst (foot) is nearing a return, but Andrews is making a case to stay involved in the offense with strong performance after strong performance. Catches first NFL touchdown
Andrews caught three of four targets for 17 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's loss against the Bengals.
Analysis: The rookie scored his first NFL touchdown late in the first half to pull the Ravens within two scores heading into halftime. Andrews has drawn eight targets through two games -- a bigger role than most could have envisioned for the rookie considering Baltimore's deep tight end rotation. Even though Nick Boyle and Maxx Williams continue to see plenty of snaps thanks to their blocking ability, Andrews' pass-catching ability will keep him on the field. It will be interesting to see how the…read more

Three catches in debut
Andrews caught three of four targets for 31 yards in Sunday's win over the Bills.
Analysis: Nick Boyle and Maxx Williams are more polished blockers than Andrews, which helps explain why Andrews was third among Baltimore tight ends in snaps Sunday. However, Andrews' pass-catching ability actually got him on the field and involved in the aerial attack in the first quarter of his NFL debut. He did well with his opportunities, snagging three of four targets and averaging 7.8 yards per target. He'll likely remain behind Boyle and Williams for the time being in terms of snaps, but Andrews'…read more

Finally comes through in preseason
Andrews caught each of his three targets for 61 yards in Thursday's preseason win over Washington.
Analysis: Andrews dealt with a minor undisclosed injury throughout much of training camp and had just two catches for seven yards through the first three weeks of the preseason. He came up with a 45-yard gain on an impressive catch-and-run in the second quarter Thursday, perhaps making a case for a small pass-catching role while fellow rookie Hayden Hurst (foot) is unavailable. Hurst is expected to miss a minimum of two games, leaving Andrews to compete for playing time with Nick Boyle and Maxx Williams.…read more

Back to practicing
Andrews (undisclosed) has returned to practice, Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports.
Analysis: This is the third straight practice session in which Andrews has been able to participate, so it looks like he is fully healthy, especially since he's taking full contact. Andrews will be battling for a depth role at tight end this preseason.

Misses another practice
Andrews (undisclosed) isn't practicing Monday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: The rookie third-round pick previously missed some time at the beginning of training camp and has now sat out each of the last four days. The Ravens have described it as a muscle tissue injury, declining to elaborate on the location. Regardless of the exact issue, Andrews is off to a bad start in his bid to secure a role at a crowded position group. Incumbent starter Nick Boyle and rookie first-round pick Hayden Hurst are competing for the starting job, likely leaving Andrews, Maxx Williams,…read more

Sidelined Thursday
Andrews didn't practice Thursday due to a muscle tissue injury, Edward Lee of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Analysis: Andrews missed some practice time last week with a tissue issue and it appears as though a similar ailment kept him out Thursday. He missed the opening day of camp and then was back the next, but he's now missed the past three sessions due to his injury. It's unclear if the ailment will be an ongoing struggle or if he'll be able to recover and put it behind him. When healthy he'll continue to try and carve out a role as a pass catching tight end, battling for reps with Nick Boyle and Hayden…read more

Andrews (undisclosed) returned to practice Friday.
Analysis: The rookie third-round pick missed the first practice of training camp with an undisclosed muscle-tissue injury, but it's apparently not a major concern. The quick return should help Andrews in his battle for playing time with first-round pick Hayden Hurst and incumbent starter Nick Boyle. Given that he's the least experienced blocker of the bunch, Andrews is unlikely to get many snaps outside of obvious passing situations.

Andrews was not available for Thursday's practice due to a muscle-tissue injury.
Analysis: Without a full diagnosis of the injury, it's difficult to estimate when Andrews will return to practice for the Ravens. At this point, it's best to consider him day-to-day until more information about his status is revealed. When healthy, the rookie tight end is expected to engage in a three-way battle with Nick Boyle and fellow rookie Hayden Hurst for playing time at tight end in 2018.

Andrews (undisclosed) isn't present for the start of Ravens' training camp, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Andrews was one of just two surprise absences from practice, as he joined offensive tackle Greg Senat on the sidelines without previously being designated with any sort of injury. However, the exact reasoning behind Andrews' failure to take the field isn't exactly clear at this point in time, so look for additional updates to be provided on the 2018 third-round pick over the coming few days.
