Analysis: Minshew put together his usual reasonably solid numbers, finishing with his third straight productive effort through the air. Minshew connected with Mo Alie-Cox for his only touchdown pass, a two-yard toss late in the first half. The veteran signal-caller completed passes with eight different targets overall, and he'll aim to continue his current stretch of strong play against the Steelers in a Week 15 home matchup on Saturday afternoon.

Two touchdowns, 312 yards in win

Minshew completed 26 of 42 passes for 312 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 31-28 overtime win over the Titans.

Analysis: Minshew lost a fumble near the Tennessee goal line late in the second quarter, but he played a clean game otherwise. He delivered long completions of 55, 46 and 36 yards -- the final of which was a touchdown to Alec Pierce -- to top 300 passing yards for the third time on the campaign. Minshew also connected with Michael Pittman on a four-yard score to clinch the overtime victory, marking the first time that he managed multiple passing touchdowns since Week 8.

Solid numbers in Week 12 win

Minshew completed 24 of 41 passes for 251 yards with no touchdowns and one interception in the Colts' 27-20 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday. He also rushed three times for six yards and a score and fumbled once but recovered.

Analysis: Minshew wasn't able to get his team in the end zone through the air, but he put together a solid yardage total against a short-handed Buccaneers defense and also contributed a two-yard scoring rush early in the second quarter. Analysis: During a week in which the Colts named rookie first-rounder Anthony Richardson their Week 1 starting quarterback, Minshew again has been relegated to backup duties. Still, Minshew took advantage of Richardson getting the night off Saturday, missing just two throws to wide receivers Josh Downs and Juwann Winfree. Analysis: After a dismal start to the game, Minshew salvaged his day in the second half by finding the end zone twice. His first score came on the ground when he scrambled out of the pocket and evaded a defender for a six-yard rushing touchdown. Tops 300 yards

Minshew completed 31 of 49 pass attempts for 301 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 5 against Houston. He also chipped in 18 yards on four rushes.

Analysis: Minshew attempted a season-high 49 passes, but he wasn't particularly efficient by averaging just 6.1 yards per attempt. His longest completion of the day was a 51-yard deep shot to Chris Conley, though he also connected on a pair of completions that went for more than 15 yards with Laviska Shenault. For the season, Minshew has at least two passing scores in four of his five starts and topped 300 yards on three occasions. He'll face a positive matchup against the Lions in Week 6.

Tops 350 yards in loss

Minshew completed 27 of 40 passes for 351 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in Sunday's 33-25 loss to the Bengals. He added two carries for nine yards.

Analysis: After throwing an interception on the opening drive, Minshew made amends with an 11-yard touchdown to DJ Chark to grab a 7-3 lead late in the first quarter. Unfortunately for the Jaguars, they didn't get back into the end zone again until Minshew's two-yard score to Chark with 6:14 left in the game. The second-year quarterback has thrown for 1,138 yards and an 8:4 TD:INT heading into his team's Week 5 trip to Houston.

Numbers go for naught in loss

Minshew completed 30 of 42 passes for 275 yards with no touchdowns and one interception in the Jaguars' 31-13 loss to the Dolphins on Thursday. He also rushed three times for 22 yards and lost a fumble.

Analysis: Minshew had one of the better stat lines you'll see for a quarterback on the wrong end of an 18-point decision. The second-year gunslinger once again displayed above-average accuracy while averaging 6.5 yards per attempt, but he found himself frequently under duress while taking four sacks and 10 hits overall. Comeback falls short

Minshew completed 30 of 45 passes for 339 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions and had four carries for 19 yards during Sunday's 33-30 loss to Tennessee.

Analysis: The 24-year-old was near perfect in the season-opening win against the Colts and found plenty of success through the air versus the Titans, though he did have the two giveaways Sunday. Minshew threw two touchdown passes in the fourth quarter to overcome a 13-point deficit, but Tennessee kicked a late field goal to take a late lead and Minshew subsequently threw a fourth-down interception with less than a minute left. Dismantles Colts' secondary

Minshew competed 19 of his 20 pass attempts for 173 yards and three touchdowns in Week 1 against the Colts. He also chipped in five rushes for 19 yards.

Analysis: Minshew didn't have to throw much as the Jaguars surprisingly found themselves leading the Colts. However, when he took to the air, he dissected the opposing secondary with only one of his attempts falling incomplete. He also delivered a trio of touchdowns, coming from six, 15 and 22 yards. Minshew will look to maintain this type of performance in Week 2 when the Jaguars take on the Titans.

Moved to active roster

The Jaguars activated Minshew from the Reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday morning.

Analysis: Placed on the list two days prior, Minshew has now passed the necessary tests to be reinstated to the active roster. He's the unquestioned starting quarterback in Jacksonville, where Mike Glennon, Jake Luton and Joshua Dobbs are expected to compete for backup work.

Lands on COVID list

The Jaguars placed Minshew (illness) on the reserve/COVID-19 list Sunday.

Analysis: After the Jags sent Nick Foles to Chicago back in March, Minshew had no impediments to the starting QB gig in Jacksonville. However, he's now either tested positive for COVID-19 or recently been in close contact with someone who did. NFL teams aren't allowed to reveal which one is the case, but Minshew has to pass the requisite number of tests before he's allowed in the team's facilities.

Becomes uncontested starter

Minshew is the uncontested No. 1 quarterback in Jacksonville after the team traded Nick Foles to the Bears on Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Analysis: The Jaguars took back a fourth-round draft pick in exchange for Foles, who had been expected to battle Minshew for the top job throughout training camp and the preseason. Coach Doug Marrone said Minshew, Nick Foles and Joshua Dobbs will compete for the Jaguars' starting quarterback job this offseason, John Reid of The Florida Times-Union reports.

Analysis: A report from early January suggested Foles would enter the offseason program as the top QB, though it's common sense that Minshew will at least have a shot at the job after his unexpectedly competent rookie season. Dobbs, on the other hand, isn't likely to see many first-team reps. The battle between Foles and Minshew will dominate headlines in Jacksonville throughout the spring and into the summer.

Analysis: Minshew managed to suit up without an injury designation Week 16 despite initially practicing in a limited fashion due to the same issue. If things progress as usual, he'll suit up Sunday against the Colts and draw the start at quarterback. Since replacing Nick Foles as Jacksonville's top option under center in Week 14, Minshew has completed 55.7 percent of his throws for 5.6 yards per attempt and a 4:0 TD:INT.

Inefficient in loss

Minshew completed 13 of 31 passes for 181 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 24-12 loss to Atlanta. He added 36 yards on seven carries.

Analysis: Minshew was off all game but tried to lead a comeback in the fourth quarter down by multiple scores, connecting with Chris Conley on a 42-yard bomb that cut the lead to 12. The outcome may have been different had DJ Chark held onto a would-be touchdown midway through the quarter. Minshew (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game in Atlanta.

Analysis: The rookie quarterback was limited at practice Wednesday and Thursday with the right shoulder issue, but he was able to finish the week with a full practice. Minshew is set to receive his 11th start of the season Sunday against the Falcons, who are allowing 253.7 yards per game through the air and a 99.5 opponent QB rating.

Analysis: So far there's nothing to suggest that Minshew -- who helped the Jaguars snap a five-game losing streak in the Week 15 win over the Raiders -- is in any danger of missing Sunday's game against the Falcons. With that in mind, unless it's revealed that Minshew tweaked his shoulder during Wednesday's practice, his limitations to begin Week 16 are more than likely maintenance-related.

Leads comeback win in Oakland

Minshew completed 17 of 29 passes for 201 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 20-16 win over the Raiders. He also gained 27 rushing yards on five carries.

Analysis: The Jaguars didn't score a TD through the first three quarters, but Minshew played hero by finding Chris Conley twice in the end zone over the final 5:15 to rally the club from a 16-6 deficit. While the rookie QB hasn't been particularly sharp since regaining the starting job, he does have a 3:0 TD:INT over the last two games. Minshew and the Jacksonville passing game get a favorable matchup in Week 16 on the road against the Falcons.

Mediocre in return to top job

Minshew completed 24 of 37 passes for 162 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in the Jaguars' 45-10 loss to the Chargers on Sunday. He also rushed six times for 31 yards.

Analysis: While Minshew's final numbers weren't awful on the surface, the fact the Jaguars were down 31-3 before he facilitated Jacksonville's only touchdown of the day with a 12-yard toss to Nick O'Leary tells the tale of what kind of day it was. The rookie was making his return to the top job after ceding it for two games, but this performance wasn't necessarily any better than what the displaced Nick Foles was capable of providing. Back as starting QB

Minshew will return as the Jaguars' starting quarterback Sunday against the Chargers, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis: Taking over for a futile Nick Foles this past Sunday versus the Buccaneers, Minshew fared slightly better during the 28-11 loss. Overall this season, Minshew has completed 61 percent of his passes, averaged 243.2 yards per game and posted a 14:5 TD:INT in 10 appearances.

Serviceable in relief

Minshew played the second half of the Jaguars' 28-11 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday in relief of Nick Foles (coach's decision) and completed 16 of 27 passes for 147 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He also rushed twice for eight yards and had a fumble, but it was recovered by the offense.

Analysis: Minshew's numbers weren't anything to write home about, but they were exponentially better than Foles', who threw for just 93 yards and completed 50.0 percent of his throws in the first two quarters. The rookie certainly has proved capable of providing a spark in the past, however, and with Jacksonville at 4-8, it's certainly possible coach Doug Marrone opts to give Minshew another run with the starting job versus the Chargers in Week 14.

Takes over for Foles

Minshew replaced Nick Foles at quarterback to start the second half Sunday against the Buccaneers.

Analysis: The Jaguars entered halftime trailing 25-0 as Foles committed three first-half turnovers, leading the team to make a change. Jacksonville has been outscored 100-33 in 10 quarters since Foles reclaimed the starting job Week 11, so the team will have a decision to make at quarterback entering Week 14. Minshew can stake his claim to the starting job with a quality showing off the bench.

Headed back to bench

Minshew will return to the backup quarterback role following the Jaguars' Week 10 bye after coach Doug Marrone announced Tuesday that Nick Foles (collarbone) would return from injured reserve and reclaim the starting role Nov. 17 against the Colts, John Oehser of the Jaguars' official site reports.

Analysis: Minshew performed admirably over the first nine games of the 2019 campaign, completing 61.2 percent of his passes for 2,285 yards and a 13:4 TD:INT.
